Warrior Flag Football

Warrior Flag Football has just finished its first season in March. It was a huge success, and we are looking forward to growing next year. Our season of operation is January-March every year. Registration will open in April and close in December each year. We look forward to having you join the Warrior Flag Football Family!

League Operations- Please note, this is a COED League

Season Operations: The Warrior Flag Football season will run for 9 weeks over our program schedule. Practices and games will be held on Saturday each week starting on January 11th 2025, and concluding with Championship week on March 8th 2025.
Location: All practices will be held on the Westwood Cherry St Practice Field for the first hour, and all games will be held on the Westwood High School Stadium Field for the second hour.
Game Play Format: 5 on 5 Non-Contact Flag Football, No Center on Offense, QB Takes ball off tee to start play.
Team Roster: Rosters will be created by the Westwood Football Staff. Teammate requests may be granted when possible.
Team Roster (Size): Teams are limited to10 players maximum. Exceptions handles on a case by case basis.
Season Fees: Regular Registration (September 1st-November 30th) -$90.00, Late Registration (After November 30th)- $100. Families registering 3 or more children will pay a max fee of $250. Fees include a team jersey, use of flags, and other equipment/offerings.
Uniforms: Each player will be issued a team jersey. Players should wear their jersey and black athletic shorts/pants for all practices and games. Rubber cleats are encouraged, but not required. No metal cleats allowed.
Coaches: Each Warrior Flag Football Team will be given a Westwood Football Player as their teams head coach. Parents are welcome to volunteer as an assistant coach. Please note, each team will only be assigned 1 parent assistant coach.

Kindergarten/1st Grade - 1:00 PM Practice/2:00 PM Game
2nd/3rd Grade - 2:00 PM Practice/3:00 PM Game
4th/5th Grade- 3:00 PM Practice/4:00 PM Game

Week 5: Saturday, February 8th
Week 6: Saturday, February 15th
Week 7: Saturday, February 22nd
Week 8: Saturday, March March 1st (Playoff1st Round)
Week 9: Saturday, March 8th (Championship Weekend)

All teams will play games through the entire 9-week program schedule regardless of their seeding in the Playoff Weeks.

Community Centered

We are a Westwood community centered league. All games and practices are held at the Westwood High School football facilities. Each Warrior Flag Football team is assigned a Westwood Football player as the head coach. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as assistant coaches. This student head coach model allows us to help build future leaders in our community and teach our athletes important life skills.

We try to be the most organized youth sports experience around. We will communicate regularly and maintain organization throughout our league. We know how busy our Warrior Flag Football Families are, and we strive to make their lives easier with our organization and communication.
